What we expect from applicants—and what we don't

The following things are important to us in the application process: complete and error-free documents, clear motivation, authentic communication, reliability, and references. A portfolio is also required for creative profiles. Applications on an equal footing.

Transparent guidance for anyone who wants to apply to work with us

The application process can sometimes feel like a black box. What is important? What do companies really look for? What is not as crucial as many people think?

We want to make the process simpler and more transparent, so we are explaining what is important to us in applications—and what is not.

What we expect from applicants

1. A complete, error-free dossier

This sounds obvious, but it isn't: many applications fail because important documents are missing or because spelling mistakes leave an unprofessional impression.

We therefore require:

  • A complete resume (including contact details)
  • Relevant references or certificates
  • A cover letter or short introduction
  • A clear structure and correct spelling

Tip: A final spell check or proofreading by another person can make a significant difference.

2. Clear motivation

We would like to know why you are interested in our company and this position in particular. An application is more convincing if it is clear what attracts you to our tasks, our culture, or our industry.

3. Authenticity instead of self-promotion

No one can do everything—and we don't expect them to.

More important are:

  • Honest self-assessment
  • Willingness to learn
  • Curiosity
  • Team-oriented work

4. Reliability in the application process

Meeting deadlines, providing feedback, briefly communicating any delays—these small things show professionalism and respect.

5. References and work samples

Verifiable references are particularly important to us. They show how applicants have worked in the past and what results they have achieved. For creative profiles—for example, in the areas of design, marketing, content, photography, or video—we also request a portfolio or examples of services already provided. This allows us to better assess your strengths and how your individual style fits the respective task.

What we don't expect

1. A perfect resume

Gaps, career changes, or a lateral entry are not exclusion criteria.

What is more important is how people develop and what they want to contribute.

2. Memorized answers

We are looking for personalities, not boilerplate phrases.

Honesty is more convincing in interviews than perfectly rehearsed answers.

3. Exaggerated self-marketing

Self-confidence is good, but competence is demonstrated through facts, projects, and clear examples—not exaggeration.

Best practices for a successful application

  • Carefully check your dossier: Are all documents complete and error-free?
  • Keep your wording short, clear, and structured
  • Establish a connection to the company or industry
  • Honestly identify your professional strengths and areas for improvement
  • Include references and, for creative roles, a portfolio
  • Ask questions and show interest
  • Respond to feedback and keep appointments reliably

An application process on equal terms

Our goal is to make applicants feel comfortable from the very first contact. We value transparency, respect, and honest communication. Those who openly show who they are have the best chances with us—regardless of whether they have perfect career plans or an impeccable resume. If you have any questions about our positions, the application process, or the requirements, please feel free to contact us at any time. We look forward to meeting people who are a good fit for us, both professionally and personally.
